Kampala, Uganda — Mirembe Irene Nagawa, the proprietor of Mirembe Beddings and Curtains, has publicly announced that she is no longer in a marital relationship with Ivan Segujja, while assuring customers and business partners that the company’s operations remain uninterrupted.

In a public notice dated March 17, 2026, Nagawa said the decision to end the relationship was based on “personal reasons” and noted that she would not discuss the matter further in the media.
“I, Mirembe Irene Nagawa of Mirembe Beddings and Curtains, wish to inform our valued clients, partners, followers, and the general public that I am no longer in a marital partnership with Ivan Segujja,” the notice reads.
She added that despite the personal development, the business continues to operate within a shared business environment at the Nsambya branch, and emphasized the company’s commitment to transparency with its clients.
Nagawa reassured customers that all services remain on course, saying business operations are ongoing and that there is no disruption to customer orders, deliveries, or client engagement at the moment.
“Business operations remain ongoing. All services and commitments will continue as scheduled. There is no disruption to customer orders, deliveries, or client engagement at this time,” she stated.
She also called for calm and continued support from clients and the public as the company navigates the transition.
“We kindly request our clients and the public to remain calm and continue to offer their trust and support as we navigate this transition with respect and professionalism,” the statement said.
Mirembe Beddings and Curtains deals in beddings, curtains, and interior décor, with outlets located at Modern Shoplex and in Nsambya along Entebbe Road.
