Katwe– Police at Katwe are holding three suspects in connection with a viral video circulating on social media showing a group of men scaling a perimeter fence of Singer Omukunja Atasera before violently assaulting an individual inside the premises.
According to police, the suspects were arrested during an intelligence-led operation targeting criminal gangs in Makindye Division.
The suspects have been identified as Sali Ethan, also known as “Unruly,” Sali Isaac, and Sejongo Isaac.
Police said the identity and whereabouts of the victim seen in the video remain unknown, and appealed to the individual or anyone with relevant information to report to the nearest police station to assist with ongoing investigations.
Authorities also cautioned the public against engaging in lawlessness and mob justice, warning that such actions are criminal and punishable under the law.
Investigations are still underway, with efforts continuing to track down other suspects believed to have been involved in the assault.
Police said more updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
