KAMPALA– National Unity Platform (NUP) has on Monday kicked off with vetting members who will hold the part flag on various electoral positions in the forthcoming general elections.
According to the program which was released last week, vetting for Kampala Local government will be on Monday 28th July 2025 , 2nd to 7th August 2025, they will be vetting Wakiso Local Government, 8th to 13th August, they will be vetting sub regions (Local Government) , 14th to 18th August, they will be vetting City Mayors, LC5 Chairpersons and KCCA Division
Vetting for members of Parliament will be on 20th to 27 August 2025.
“The vetting exercise has began this morning at our headquarters in Makerere Kavule. The Election Management Committee is vetting LC.3 and LC.5 candidates from Lubaga North, Kawempe South and Nakawa West. The exercise will continue for the rest of the week in adherence to the earlier communicated schedule.” Reads part of.official communique from National Unity Platform.
