Kampala– The Permanent Secretary/Secretary to the Judiciary (PS/SJ), Dr Pius Bigirimana, has received the Responsible Investment Global Award (2025–2026) in recognition of his role in championing judicial reforms in Uganda.

The award was formally handed over by officials from Public Opinions, led by Mr Adam Buyinza, at the Judiciary headquarters.
The accolade places Dr Bigirimana among a distinguished group of national leaders recognised for driving sustainable development and institutional reform across key sectors.
Receiving the award, Dr Bigirimana described the recognition as both an honour and a responsibility, noting that the progress achieved within the Judiciary is now visible to the public and must be sustained.
“This award affirms that the reforms we are undertaking are making an impact. But it also challenges us to go further and ensure that public service delivers real results to the people,” he said.
He reiterated his call for a private sector mindset within public institutions, stressing the need for efficiency, discipline, and accountability in the management of public resources. He noted that successful reforms within the Judiciary have been driven by strong control measures and structured implementation, which have enhanced service delivery and
restored public confidence.
The engagement also highlighted the growing role of thought leadership in shaping reform, with Dr Bigirimana’s writings on governance, corruption, and management cited as contributing to ongoing discourse on improving public administration.
Officials from Public Opinions commended the Judiciary’s progress, noting that the recognition reflects increasing public confidence in Government reforms and the importance of leadership in driving institutional change.
The PS/SJ further acknowledged the role of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in supporting reform initiatives
