Mukono– The Judiciary Christian Fellowship (JCF) has elected its inaugural Executive Committee during a three-day prayer retreat held from March 20 to 22, 2026, in Mukono, marking a new phase in the Fellowship’s spiritual and organisational growth.
Established on April 29, 2021, the Fellowship brought together judicial officers and Judiciary staff from across the country for the retreat, which focused on prayer, fellowship and reflection. The gathering culminated in the formal establishment of the Fellowship’s first leadership structure.
The Patron of the Fellowship is Hon. Lady Justice Helen Obura, a Justice of Appeal.
During the retreat, Lady Justice Sarah Langa Siu was elected President of the Executive Committee, while Her Worship Sarah Tusiime Bashaija was elected Vice President. The two are expected to guide the spiritual and organisational journey of the Fellowship.
Other members elected to the committee include Her Worship Sarah Namusobya as Secretary, Her Worship Patricia Amoko as Deputy Secretary, Her Worship Dorothy Lwanga Ssempala as Treasurer, and Her Worship Timothy Lumunye as Vice Treasurer.
Also elected were Her Worship Pascal Olupot as Publicity Secretary, Ms Sheila Wamboga as Vice Publicity Secretary, and executive committee members Her Worship Marion Ninsiima and Mr Brian Bulega Ssebugwawo.
In a solemn commissioning ceremony, Bishop Joshua Lwere prayed for the newly elected leaders and urged them to lead with humility, unity and unwavering faith.
Speaking on behalf of the committee, Lady Justice Sarah Langa Siu pledged the team’s commitment to steering the Fellowship and called upon members to support the leadership as it begins its work.
The election of the inaugural Executive Committee marks a significant milestone for the Judiciary Christian Fellowship and is expected to strengthen spiritual nourishment, deepen bonds among staff, and complement the Judiciary’s broader commitment to holistic wellness and institutional cohesion.
