Christmas Message: Kabaka Condemns Election Violence,Asks E.C to be impartial
Mengo- The Kabaka of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi ii has issued Christmas message to his subject with main focus on the current situation in the country.

“We thank you for always praying for us and the love that you always show us. We thank the Almighty who has kept alive up to 2025 Christmas.”
He pointed out that during this period, many Ugandans have passed through a lot of suffering, assaulted and those that are contesting on various Electoral positions have been denied a chance to campaign as well facing several acts of human rights violation.
“We condemn these acts because they don’t don’t portray modernization and country’s development. The current political situation in the country is dominated by high rate of voter bribery and one wonders what is the source of all this money.”
He therefore added that leaders elected under influence of money in most cases incompetent and they always focus on recovering back their money invested in the campaigns. “This is the root cause of corruption and slow progress of our nation. We therefore ask you to vote with extra care.”
The Kabaka also re-echoed the need to revive granaries in all homes and asked the government to support farmers near water sources with support to install irrigation equipments in their gardens. This followed the pro longed draught which has affected many crops in the gardens.
