Speaking on behalf of the District Education Officer (DEO), the Inspector of Schools, Mr. Kimbugwe Henry, informed parents, PTA members, and community leaders that the commissioned facilities are a government give-back to the people. He explained that service delivery often takes time due to the many schools across the district requiring similar support.
Mr. Kimbugwe emphasized the importance of proper maintenance and security of the facilities to ensure their longevity. He also encouraged schools to install hand-washing facilities to promote good hygiene and urged parents to support their children academically, noting that all learners follow the same national curriculum and sit for the same examinations.
On behalf of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Mukono District, Mr. Ddamba Henry, Mr. Kayoro Poncious congratulated the community and school leadership for prioritizing education and nurturing professionals who return to serve their communities. He thanked the government for consistently prioritizing education and public health and reminded parents of their responsibility to provide scholastic materials, guide learners’ behavior, and support academic growth despite the provision of free education under UPE and USE.
He also applauded the public-private partnerships that have supported community development and urged school management committees and parents to safeguard the new infrastructure. He concluded by appreciating the contractor for delivering quality work on time.

Representing the District Chairperson LCV of Mukono, Mr. Isaac Kitongo, the District Councilor for Koome Sub-County, thanked the school leadership of Koome Church of Uganda Primary School for their initiative and commitment, which led to the successful construction of the classroom block.
