MAKINDYE– National Unity Platform (NUP) die hard, David Musiri, who declared interest to contest as an independent for Makindye West Member of Parliament after being denied a Party ticket, has today launched a fundraising Campaign.
“Comrades change is never funded by the powerful,it’s built by all the people! Each contribution is a spark that lights the fire of freedom and progress in Makindye West. Comrades let’s unite our strength, our voices, and our resources to shape the future we deserve.” Musiri posted on his social media platforms.
He has followed this message with Mobile Money contacts, as well as Bank Account on which he asked all those wishing him well to deposit money.
However, his supporters have received it in good faith, well as others who don’t support him, have Instead attacked him acusing him of being a self seeker.
“My brother, 5 years are not decades or centuries, if I were you, I would have followed the right path of not contesting as an independent MP bro you are ruining your political career by inevitable errors.” Remarked Ernest Kaka
Others advised him, that it’s not yet to late to pull out of the race and let the Party Flag bearer Zahara Luyirika shine.
On the other hand, Hon. Allan Ssewanyana, the incumbent also expressed interest to Contest either independent or on any other party ticket after being denied the flag by NUP Elections Management Committee.
