Makerere, Kavule– The National Unity Platform (NUP) has on Monday 15th September 2025 kicked off with vetting of flag bearers for the party from various regions.The vetting process which has been launched by Harriet Chemutai, the Chairperson of Electoral Management Committee is focusing on flag bearers on Parliamentary seats in the forthcoming elections.
“Be strong, we are not going to ask hard things, every thing we are asking shall be from with in the party. They have been telling you that you have the ground, it’s now to prove to us that indeed you’re strong on the ground.”
She also advised the aspiring candidates not to over think and Incase a question comes and they don’t know the answer, they have a right to say pass. ‘Even me the Chairperson, I don’t know everything.”
“The vetting process which has started today will run 15th to 21st September 2025.”
They commenced with vetting of women from Ankle region, West Nile, Wakiso and Busiro East Member of Parliament.
