KAMPALA– Following an electoral petition filed to the NRM Tribunal by Brenda Kiconco, one of the contestants for NRM Youth Chairperson challenging the Victory of Collins Tanga ( a son to Dr. Tanga Odoi Chairperson NRM Electoral Commission).

Brenda in petition, brought it to the attention of the commission that the whole electoral process was marred with irregularities, tallying errors, and unreliable records which made the declaration invalid.
Collins was declared a winner on August 27,2025 at Kololo Independence grounds with 1,567 votes , followed by Brenda with 1,355 Votes
In the tribunal’s decision issued on Monday 8th September 2025, it concurred with Brenda that the elections were marred with a lot of irregularities, tallying errors, and unreliable records which resulted into false results.
It has been ordered, that Tanga’s victory is set aside and fresh Elections should be conducted under supervision of other Electoral Commissioners of NRM without Dr. Tanga Odoi (Chairperson) getting directly involved.
The ruling, endorsed by tribunal members Diana Kasabiti, Esau Isingoma, and chaired by John Musiime
