MAKINDYE– Hon. Derrick Nyeko, the current member of Parliament on National Unity Platform (NUP) ticket has step aside from Contesting again.
According to the information seen by this website, Nyeko revealed that his choice does not diminish the journey he has walked together, nor the victories achieved.
” I wish to extend my deepest gratitude to all who have believed in me throughout the years I have been entrusted with leadership. It is with a heart full of joy that I have served you with honour, respect, and a deep commitment never to betray the trust of your vote.”
He added that this decision may not be easy for his team and supporters to receive, especially after the strong belief that they would once again win the Makindye East MP seat.

Nyeko has stepped aside a few days to National Unity Platform’s vetting process for Members of Parliament across the Country.
