KAMPALA- Ivan Ssemakula Kamuntu , Senior Presidential Advisor on Central Region, has addressed an open letter to National Unity Platform (NUP) President Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi wine about the recently concluded nomination exercise.
In his letter dated 29th August 2025, advised NUP to change their ways of operations especially during the process of selecting flag bearers.
“It is nowonder that your recent activity falls short of the standards of the NRM, whose processes for organizing flag bearers are legitimate, open, and democratic. Your method only plays to your disadvantage, as many feel the selected are not legitimate.” Reads part of the letter
“In conclusion, If you cannot handle the leadership of a single party
which you operate as personal property, nor can you lead your family evidenced by the inability to organise your father’s funeral because your
still fighting for properties with your Brother Nyanzi plus other siblings then how can you aspire to lead a country?”
He further advised Hon. Kyagulanyi to extend the period in which he intends to stand for Presidency because Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is still here until 2031.
