Michael Matovu Birimuye one of the popular TV hosts from Mengo based BBS Terefayina, like many other media practitioners, has expressed put aside the Microphone, and he is set to join elective politics.
According to reliable sources, Birimuye a born Buganda’s historical county of Buddu, is expected to contest for a Parliamentary seat in Kalungu District on Mpuuga’s led Democratic Front Party.
Early this week, during the weekly drills of Buganda Kingdom employees in Lubiri Mengo, Birimuye officially bid farewell to his bosses and workmates.
At this event which involved Cake Cutting, the Katikiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga, called upon all people to vote people whose interest is to serve the Kabaka or who prioritize Kabaka’s voice.
“Matovu, you should be transparent in this new journey you’re soon starting, because politics means leadership and through good leadership societies are transformed.” Mayiga added
Birimuye thanked Buganda Kingdom for the opportunity which they have rendered him to serve Kabaka’s people, on top of teaching him a number of leadership skills which will help him during his political career.
