His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda, has arrived safely in Istanbul, the cultural capital of the Republic of Türkiye, to participate in the two-day World Council of Religious Leaders for Peace, taking place from Tuesday, July 29 to Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
The Mufti will moderate the global meeting alongside the host, His Eminence Metropolitan Emmanuel Adamakis — Orthodox Bishop, Elder Metropolitan of Chalcedon of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople, and former Orthodox Metropolitan of France.
The gathering of world religious leaders will serve as a vital platform for participants to provide strategic guidance and review program priorities in line with the theme: “Shared Sacred Flourishing Initiatives.”
