KAMPALA– The Buganda Road chief Magistrates Court will tomorrow Monday deliver a ruling on the bail application filed by Noah Mitala alias Noah Mutwe a civilian bodyguard to National Unity platform president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu who is facing charges of hate speech and spreading malicious information against top government officials.
Mitala was last month denied bail as most of his sureties were found not substantial, and he was requested to produce the sureties afresh.
Mitala on Monday this week produced two sureties namely; Kawempe division mayor Emmanuel sserunjogi and one Florence Kiwanuka
The prosecution team led by Ivan Kyazze asked for more time to look into the particulars of the sureties before he makes a response, which prompted the Buganda Road court chief magistrate Ronald Kayizzi to adjourn the matter until Monday nextweek to hear the response from the state and thereafter court will deliver its ruling on the bail application.
Prosecution alleges Mitala and a police officer Charles Twine who was recently granted bail, and others still at large between January 2024 and May 2025 to have invited violence against President Yoweri Museveni and the CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
They are also charged with hate speech and malicious communication targeting the speaker of parliament Anitah Among and his Deputy Thomas Tayebwa.
