Kampala – Uganda Medical Association (UMA) an umbrella body bringing all medical practitioners in the country, has asked the members of the general public to stop speculations and handle the matter of the late Hon. Hellen Nakimuli (Kalangala Woman Member of Parliament) with utmost care.

In a press statement released on Tuesday, Dr. Frank R Asiimwe, the Association President revealed that it’s every Doctor’s aspiration to save people’s lives but mortality can’t be totally ruled out because, even before the most professional practitioner such incident may happen.
“While we recognize that life is ultimately in the hands of our Maker, we also understand the deep search for answers. When a leader or, indeed, any other person of such vitality is suddenly taken from us.”
Asiimwe emphasized that their main task is to ensure that the truth and continually improve the medical services we provide to all Ugandans.
“To ensure clarity and maintain public trust in our healthcare systems, the Association stands ready to provide technical and expert support to any formal inquiry. We are committed to a transparent process that determines whether the Optimal standard of care and professionalism were observed, ensuring the facts are established with scientific integrity and fairness to all parties.”
This came at the time when majority of Ugandans especially the people of Kalangala were still waiting for the final Postmortem report about the cause of death of the youthful Legislator.
