His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda, has renewed the tenure of H.E. Sheikh Twaha Uthuman Kajaaya Musa as his Special Envoy to the Republic of South Sudan for another five-year term, effective from July 12, 2025.
In an official communication addressed to His Eminence Dr. Sheikh Abdallah Baraji Rual Secretary General ( Grand Mufti) South Sudan Islamic Council and copied to the relevant government authorities in both Uganda and South Sudan—the Mufti acknowledged the outstanding services rendered by Sheikh Kajaaya.
These include the recent coordination of the South Sudan Muslim Leaders Workshop, a one-week event held in Uganda and jointly organized by the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council (UMSC) and the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).
The communication was issued on the evening of Friday, July 25, 2025.
