Namirembe – The Democratic Front (DF) party has launched a nationwide campaign tour, with its president and senior leaders set to transverse the country.

The Northern Region leg kicked off on Thursday, December 4, followed by the Teso Region launch on Sunday, December 7.
The tour is aimed at strengthening party structures, energising supporters, and promoting unity, integrity, and people-centred leadership. DF is positioning itself as a force for renewal and ethical leadership in Uganda’s political landscape, with a strong focus on grassroots empowerment and democratic reforms.
The party has continued to gain momentum, buoyed by recent defections from other political formations, including the National Unity Platform (NUP) and the National Resistance Movement (NRM). Analysts believe DF could attract voters seeking alternatives to Uganda’s traditional political dynamics.
It is worth noting that, unlike other parties, the Democratic Front has not yet presented a presidential candidate. Instead, its primary focus is on building structures and backing candidates for Parliament and various local government positions as it establishes a firm national presence.
