RUBAGA– Hon. Betty Kamya, the outgoing Inspectorate General of Government (IGG), has extended gratitude to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for having granted her an opportunity to serve in his government under various capacity.

Kamya who was replaced by Lady Justice Aisha Naluzze, last week, over the weekend informed journalists that she will not be Contesting for any electoral office as it was before joining public service.
“For now, I want to enjoy my family as I wait for what next. As a Christian, I will continue praying to God because when you pray, God gives you more plans. Am glad that I have completed my first phase of four years as IGG.” Revealed Kamya
She pointed out that the office of IGG has limited resources and therefore she has faced a lot of challenges during the four years as the head of that office.
“Am not seeking to stand on any elective post, I will remain doing my civic duties as any other citizens, like Campaigning for my candidate, voting and paying taxes.” Kamya added
Before being appointed IGG in 2021, Betty Kamya in 2019 Served as Cabinet Minster for Lands and also served as the Minister in charge of KCCA.
