Makerere, Kavule– The National Unity Platform(NUP) on Sunday successfully concluded a week long vetting exercise for individuals with interest to contest on Positions for member of Parliament across the country.

“The exercise has been a success and we have vetted almost all the candidates apart from a few who officially informed us that they were unable to attend physically during this period.” Remarked Harriet Chemutai, the Chairperson Elections Management Committee in NUP.
She pointed out that those that didn’t come include; those admitted in Hospital, Abroad and those in jail.
The last batch of Candidates in this process where from Greater Luweero and Busoga Sub-region.
This exercise kicked off last Monday with candidates from Busiro and Wakiso district presenting the Academic Credentials on top of answering several questions which were fired to them by EMC members.
