KAMPALA– The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Electoral Commission has declared Collins Tanga the Party Chairperson for National Youth League.
In the results announced, Tanga has secured 2,185 votes (68%) against his immediate rival, Brenda Kiconco, who received 1,017 votes (32%).
Earlier on this month, these elections were concluded, however due to a number of complaints resulting from allegations of voter bribery, rigging etc, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Party Chairperson cancelled the results and ordered for fresh elections, but this time with orders that Tanga Odoi , the Chairperson of NRM Electoral Commission steps aside.
In the previous elections , Tanga had secured 1,567 votes against Brenda Kiconco’s 1,355.
