Kawempe– Kagaawa Ben Ayan 29 years , a born of Kawempe North, on Friday was officially nominated by the Electoral Commission as one of the candidates that will be vying for the position of Lord Councilor representing Kawempe North ii.
Ayan who has been in Kawempe for over 20 years, is a graduate of Information Technology and Mass Communication which clears the air when it comes to academic qualifications.
Unlike other candidates, Ayan who is confident about his capability, is Contesting as an independent with Football as his symbol.
“Being a born of Kawempe, I have had enough time to study and understand the major problems affecting the people of Kawempe North ii. Secondly having worked closely with a number of local government leaders from grass root level to the top, it has given me an opportunity to learn how most of the problems in our community can be solved and those that I may not manage, I have friends who can support me to have them addressed.” Kagaawa stated
His close association with Kawempe Division Mayor , Emmanuel Sserunjogi Oweddembe has given him an opportunity for exposure.
Ayan, is very sure that this time , of the voters prioritize ability and capacity to perform, there is no doubt, he will obtain a landslide victory in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.
Others in this race are; National Unity Platform’s Umar Magala and two other candidates.
