Lugazi– The Chief Inspector of Courts, Justice Stephen Musota, has conducted routine inspections at the Lugazi High Court, Lugazi Chief Magistrates Court, and Njeru Magistrates Court as part of the Judiciary’s ongoing efforts to strengthen performance, accountability, and service delivery.

At the Lugazi High Court, Justice Musota was received by Lady Justice Dr. Winfred Nabisinde, together with HW Kyampire Dorothy (Assistant Registrar). At the Lugazi Chief Magistrates Court, he was welcomed by HW Nabende Moses (Chief Magistrate) and HW Joan Nakhumitsa (Magistrate Grade I).
While in Lugazi, the Chief Inspector engaged with stakeholders who were attending the Regional Chain-Linked Committee (RCC) meeting, including the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Wanyama Godfrey.
The stakeholders expressed appreciation to the Judiciary for establishing a High Court in Lugazi, noting that it has brought justice services closer to the people. Justice Musota also interacted with Judicial Officers from Buvuma, Nyenga, and Ngogwe who were present for the RCC.
At Njeru Magistrates Court, the Chief Inspector was received by Magistrates Grade I, HW Acidri Bridget and HW Peace Kibeedi.
“Regular court inspections are a cornerstone of the Judiciary’s commitment to improving efficiency, transparency, and access to justice. We are encouraged by the progress in Lugazi and Njeru, and we shall continue to strengthen support to judicial officers across the country,” said Justice Musota.
Present during the visits was HW Catherine Nankanja, Magistrate Grade One Research attached to the Chambers of the Chief Inspector.
