Mubende – The Resident Judge of Mubende High Court Circuit, Justice Tadeo Asiimwe, on Tuesday ,commenced an in-house criminal session aimed at completing 40 cause-listed cases within the circuit.

According to the Deputy Registrar of Mubende High Court Circuit, HW Rogers Kinobe, the majority of the cases lined up for hearing involve charges of Murder, Aggravated Defilement, and Robbery.
In his remarks during the pre-session meeting, Justice Asiimwe commended stakeholders for keeping time and urged them to maintain coordination and cooperation throughout the session to ensure its success. He also applauded the Judiciary for funding the session and encouraged participants to promote plea
bargaining initiatives, noting their importance in expediting justice and inmates about their benefits.
The meeting was attended by Mr. David Bakibinga, Head of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) Mubende Region, Mr. Hamza Muzige, the Resident Chief State Attorney Mubende, other State Attorneys, the Officers in Charge of Muinaina and Kaweeri Prisons, lawyers on state brief, assessors, and other justice sector stakeholders.
The criminal session will run throughout the month of September 2025
