KAMPALA– A day after completion of NRM Central Executive Committee (CEC) Elections were Rt Hon. Alitwala Kadaga was defeated on the position of Vice Chairperson (Female) by Speaker of Parliament Hon. Anita Among, this angering Kadaga to the extent of threatening to quit the party if certain things don’t change.
She has released an appreciation message, where she has thanked all those who did whatever they could to make NRM Delegates Conference a success.
“To the delegates at the National Conference who endured the stormy days and sleepless nights in the course of this journey, I salute you with utmost respect. Your resilience and commitment will forever remain an inspiration.” Reads part of the message
She also extended special thanks go to the gallant men and women who raised her posters amidst
numerous challenges and threats during the election period
“To my great party, which I have had the honour to serve diligently since inception, I remain grateful.
Above all thank the people of Uganda for continuously entrusting me with the privilege to serve you.”
She concluded by congratulating all those that emerged winners on various electoral positions.
