The Uganda Cranes will on Saturday 23rd August 2025 face off with Senegal in the quarterfinals of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) at Mandela National Stadium popularly known as Namboole.
Uganda’s historic qualification followed the draw match between them and South Africa which ended 3: 3. From that match, Uganda become the number one team in Group C.
Uganda so far has managed to score eight goals from the three matches of the CHAN Tournament.
Ok the other hand, the Cranes have so far conceded six goals , three in their opening loss to Algeria and three in the final group stage match against South Africa.
In most of the matches which Cranes has played at Namboole Stadium, there has been a very huge turn up of spectators who have been cheering the boys. The fans have been putting all their religious, Political, ideological and other differences and have overwhelmingly supported the Cranes.
Therefore, many have discribed foot ball as the number one unifying factor for all Ugandans.
