Police in Kawempe are investigating a fire outbreak incident that claimed the life of three juveniles and left two adults in critical condition.

According to police, the fire which occurred yesterday at 11am, happened in Kirokole Zone, Kawempe Division, Kampala district at a residential house occupied by six family members, including four children and two adults, belonging to Ssenyonga Gerald, a boda boda cyclist who operates at night
Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesman says that even though the cause of the fire is yet to be established, it’s reported that the victims were cooking on a charcoal stove while a motorcycle was parked in the same single room.
He says that three female juveniles died in the fire, while Ssenyonga Gerald, his wife, and one child were rushed to Kirudu Hospital for medical attention.
He adds that the fire brigade responded promptly and extinguished the fire, but by the time they reached the scene, the fire had damaged house properties completely.
