Hon. Derrick Nyeko, the outgoing Member of Parliament for Makindye East has called upon voters in Busiro East to support Hon. Medard Ssegona.
Although, Nyeko belongs to National Unity Platform (NUP) which has decided to back Emmanuel Magoola after denomination of Singer Mathias Walukagga.
“We are at a critical moment in this country, and we cannot afford to lose leadership of this nature.Leadership grounded in courage, wisdom, and principle is rare and when we have it, we must protect it.Hon Medard Ssegona is not a leader of convenience.He is a man of law, intellect, and conscience.A lawyer who understands the Constitution.A parliamentarian who speaks without fear or favour.”
He described him as a leader who has consistently stood for the rule of law, justice, and the dignity of the ordinary Ugandan.
“Hon Ssegona does not shout to be his record speaks.He has been firm when others were silent.He has defended institutions when they were under threat.He has chosen country over comfort, principle over popularity.”
He further called upon voters in Busiro East to gamble with leadership but stand with leadership that protects the law and the future of our country.
