KAMPALA– Zahara Luyirika, one of the contenders for position of Kampala Woman Member of Parliament on National Unity Platform (NUP) tickets has cleared the air that she is ready to go with whatever the party Electoral Management Committee decides.
“Am not bigger than my Party, NUP, I will support whoever it gives the flag. I was the third person out of the three to enter the vetting room, but what I know the Lord doesn’t decide bad things.”
She therefore told Sanyuka Television Host Adams Kungu never to host her again during election period Incase she doesn’t get the party ticket because she will be already behind the person trusted by the party.
“I have been a Councilor because of NUP, I have been Speaker because of NUP and am opposition because of NUP.” She added
Although three people are vying for this position, serious competition is between Zahara Luyirika and Shamim Malende the Current Kampala Woman Member of Parliament.
