MENGO – Maj Gen Felix Kulayigye has empathized that in the forthcoming general no Presidential Candidate will be allowed to have private bodyguards as it has been in the past.

On appearing on CBS FM’s evening program ‘Londoola Enaonga’ , Kulayigye revealed that al those contesting for Presidency will be allocated six Special Forces Commandos to guard them throughout the whole Electoral process
“Let’s take it that we have 100 Presidential Candidates with each having six official security guards and four private guards. That is a total of about 1100 individuals, how can we handle such a mess?” Remarked Kulayigye.
He also added that the candidates will be free to have their Assistants or Political Aides wherever they go, but not private bodyguards.
This has come at a time when most of the personal body guards of Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi wine who is one of those that have expressed interest to Contest for presidency in the forthcoming general elections are on remand in Luzira over charges of unlawful drilling.
