KAMPALA – In a move to save Parents time and money looking for better schools for their Children joining news schools, a group of Information Communication Technology Engineers under DCode Dynamics, have introduced www.schooladmin.co.ug a user friendly portal to ease the whole process.
Emmanuel Kakaire the Team leader at DCode, revealed that this innovation followed the loud outcry from a number of parents especially those with tight schedules but need to get placements for their children joining Senior one, Senior five and Campus level.
“We found a number of gaps ,under the physical method, there are always long queues in some schools which are so tiredous,like the S.1 are always young in age and are always accompanied by their parents who waste a lot of time in queues. Imagine spending over 5 hours on five schools in a week.” Remarked Kakaire
He also pointed out that during their days in Secondary school, they used to spend a lot of money
looking for schools. “when we were applying for Senior one , visit Mengo , Lubiri then Luweero which was abit expensive and tiredious.”
“With this system schools are put in one place and you just have to log in and select a school of your choice, you apply and we follow up on your behalf.”
Although there are some schools registered with this system, the brains behind it are targeting almost all schools from Nursery to Tertiary level across the country.
“We have started with schools with computers connected to the Internet, but in future we shall be having even UPE Schools and all those in hard to reach areas.”
To Register, the school management will have to log in to school admin.co.ug, apply, then we do a background check on the school to avoid fraud and then it becomes visible on our portal.
That for all those applying will have a provision of uploading their results online, receive recommendation or admission letter via online without having any physical contact.
